OK, so the rhythm/pattern/beat that really gets me going is... the HALF-TIME SHUFFLE. The group Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns -- in their song "Keep The Focus On The Funk" demonstrate probably one of the greatest examples of this. ENJOY !!!

OK, so there are probably less than 10 drum solos that I would consider THE BEST I'VE EVER HEARD. This is one of them. The legendary Steve Gadd just blows me away with his power and syncopation in this performance.

Billy Cobham is one of my favorite drummers. Amazing open-handed playing, power-up-the-wazoo, astounding finger control, and ability to play subtle & super softly.
